Designed to bring a sparkle to your eyes

Each RIB is designed and modelled with our expertise along with the most advanced 3D CAD technology and machining processes in the boat building industry. The design and manufacture of our rigid inflatable boats is sophisticated to deliver the performance, comfort and safety you demand.

The Hull

The shape of the hull is one of the most important criteria of a boats design. Specifically moulded to deliver power and stability, each Ribquest hull has the most effective resistance points, rigidity, safety and comfort.

The rigid portion of the hull is made of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) which is a composite material consisting of plastic (polymer resin) with glass fibre reinforcement. We use GRP as it is stronger than wood, non-corrosive and impenetrable from attack by marine organisms.

The GRP is moulded into a deep V shape, giving our ribs excellent directional stability, even in the toughest of conditions. The transom plate and longitudinal runners are then fitted before the deck is permanently positioned. To complete the hull the deck area is finished with a non-slip coating.

The Buoyancy Tube

Ribquest sets new standards in its class. Their style is very emotive with the sleek, streamlined sports style tubes, creating a dynamic, strong impression.

Our RIBs offer a unique sporty image achieved by utilising tubes of a narrow dimension, giving the added benefit of increased deck utilisation. The buoyancy tubes meet the highest requirements for safe navigation in the most extreme conditions, leaving you free to enjoy the boating experience.

The coated fabric is of a 5 ply sandwich construction with the outer layer being coloured hypalon, which has outstanding abrasion resistance and colour fastness coupled with excellent environmental stability.

Outside Hypalon layer gives:
Weather resistance
Chemical resistance
Abrasion resistance
Layer of Neoprene in between the Hypalon and the textile
Inside Neoprene sheets give:
High gluability and reliable adhesion
Air tightness (no air in the high textile)
High textile gives:
Basic mechanical properties (tensile and tear strengths)
Dimensional stability

Between the hypalon and the polyester textile is a neoprene support layer, which provides exceptional adhesion to the fabric. The high tenacity polyester core is a square woven fabric of 1100 dtec yarn, which gives the tube material its strength and tear resistance. The inner layers of the sandwich are two calendered coats of neoprene, which confer outstanding air holding capabilities to the composite.

Our marine designers create templates that cut the tubes. The side of the material to be glued is then buffed before gluing. Once glued, they are formed into the collar with all internal and external seam tapes bonded with Industrial Bostik 2402 adhesives.

The inflatable collar is divided into dependent air holding chambers, separated from each other by full strength baffles, each of which can take the whole design inflation pressure. The completed tubes are rigorously pressure and leak tested, not only as a whole but also as individual chambers to ensure that all the baffles are able to maintain the integrity of the collar even if one of the chambers is damaged.

All our RIBs are available in a wide choice of tube colours and with the exceptional characteristics of the outer layer, they are resistant to ultra violet light and therefore protected from fading. Please see our colour chart for colour options.

Deck Fitting

Ribquest’s specification is outstanding; the RIBs have the distinctive and sporting appeal that sets them apart from their competitors. The centre console with one man jockey seat and stainless steel fabrication all add to the allure of these exciting RIBs.

For your convenience we offer basic packages including single centre console with one-man jockey seat, stainless steel fabrication, an engine and trailer.

In addition, you can choose to personalise your RIB with a choice of optional equipment to suit your every need. Ribquest can tailor a RIB regardless of length, weight or height restrictions. Never before has this degree of individualism been achieved in a RIB.

Engine Options

Ribquest are able to supply a number of in-board and out-board engines. We can supply and fit your RIB with a Suzuki, Mariner, Honda, Evinrude, Mercury or Yamaha engine. With six outstanding engine manufacturers available, you’ll be able to experience the levels of power, performance and economy associated with every Ribquest craft, whichever engine you choose.

After Sales Service

Ribquest offer an after sales service and technical support to all our customers for all aspects of their RIB, irrespective of the age of the vessel. Our after sales service covers damage repairs and leaks, re-tubing and re-furbishing of RIBs including additions of optional extras. We have our own marine engineers who have many years marine experience to offer help and advise in the unlikely event there are any problems with our RIBs. For further information on our after sales services or technical advise call us.

In accordance with Ribquest's policy of continuous development we reserve the right to modify designs, specifications and prices without prior notice.
