Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do I get for the standard RIB price?

A: The basic RIB package includes a centre console, one man jockey seat with a stainless steel back rail with cushioned back pad for added comfort. To ensure extra passenger safety the RIB comes complete with grab rails and an anti-slip finish to the floor covering.
We offer special packages where we have chosen what we believe to be the optimum sized boat for the engine and trailer at the most cost effective price.

Q: Can I choose my own seating layout?

A: Yes, we have a flexible approach when dealing with our customers and design our RIBs around your specific needs. A wide range of interior and exterior styling choices lets you choose the RIB that’s right for you.

Q: Can I have in board fuel tanks?

A: As standard, all our RIBs are supplied with two 25 litre outboard fuel tanks, fitted within the centre console. These tanks can be removed for refuelling. We can also supply and fit stainless steel single 100 litre or twin 100 litre inboard fuel tanks if required.

Q: What is the trailer like?

A: Our special offer packages include a roller glide trailer (braked or unbraked) with a tilting axle, winch and light board.

Q: Do I need a braked trailer?

A: As a general rule a braked trailer is required on a minimum size of 5.8m RIB fitted with a 90HP 4 stroke engine and above. If the gross weight of your boat is under 750kg, then you can use an unbraked trailer, however, if your boat weighs above 750kg (gross weight) then by law you have to use a braked trailer.

Q: I am buying the RIB for commercial use. What about certification?

A: All our RIBs are manufactured to MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency) type approved standards, with the addition of the required MCA equipment, which can be purchased and fitted by us. This means that the boat has already passed the relevant buoyancy, stability and approved build standards.

Q: How long will it take for my RIB to be built?

A: Usually it takes 3 to 4 weeks for us to build a RIB, however, it is dependent on our production schedule and the specification of your RIB. We will provide you with an accurate timescale when you place your order.

Q: Do you do marine finance?

A: Yes, there are a number of boat mortgage packages available. For further information on obtaining a boat mortgage, call our sales team.

Q: How do I order?

A: Once you have decided what size RIB you want and your specifications, all you need to do is call a member of the sales team who will provide you with a quotation. Once received, you need to sign the quotation document and return to Ribquest along with a 10% deposit. The balance funds need to be cleared before you take delivery of your new RIB.
